- At the end of the month instead of the beginning
- At the end of the year instead of the beginning
- At the end of your vendors’ fiscal quarter (if they are publicly traded)
This is true because of:
- Sale quotas and bonuses (your purchase can put the sales person in a ‘bonus’ category)
- Corporate Wall Street reported projections (this affects your vendors’ stock price)
- Backend deals with manufacturers (rebate incentives for volume moved)
